    105. Denver Massage - Chinese Massage And Acupuncture In Denver Colorado
Cherry Creek Chinese Massage offers authentic Chinese bodywork, including TuiNa, acupressure, and Oriental Medicine (herbs, Acupuncture) in Denver Colorado.
    http://www.ccmassage.com/chinese_massage.html
A Family Tradition of Chinese Massage in Denver
Cherry Creek Chinese Massage is family owned and operated local business in Denver, Colorado. Yuqiu Kristy Ma began Cherry Creek Chinese Massage and Acupuncture in 2003, on the suggestion of acupuncturist friends already living in the Denver area. " Denver has a long tradition of massage and the healing arts ", they said, " and the people of Denver would appreciate authentic Chinese massage as a compliment to acupuncture, oriental and herbal medicine. " After relocating to Denver, Kristy found a warm reception and significant demand for TuiNa and Chinese massage. Shortly thereafter she recruited daughter Fu Yuan Michelle Ma , also Chinese trained and U.S. certified in massage, who was on break from her acupuncture studies in China. When her high school senior schedule allows it, second daughter Xiao Ying Sally Ma also helps out with reception and office work. Someday even little Xiao Rui Ma will help out as well. Kristy Ma and her family have enjoyed meeting and massaging Denver's friendly residents continuously since opening day, receiving praise from clients and professional associates alike. In fact, interest in Chinese TuiNa massage in Denver has grown so much since Cherry Creek Chinese Massage opened its doors, one long time friend and Colorado resident has now opened a school of Chinese massage in Denver. We are open 7 days with the following schedule: Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Acupressure Relieves Nausea in Chemotherapy Patients
Last year, an estimated 175,000 women in the United States were diagnosed with breast cancer. For most breast cancer patients, the most common treatment is chemotherapy. Unfortunately, chemotherapy is often accompanied by a number of unwanted side effects, the most prevalent of which is nausea. While more effective drugs are being to reduce the symptoms of nausea, it remains a significant problem for those receiving chemotherapy. As many as 60% of chemotherapy patients report being nauseous after undergoing treatment.1 In fact, many cancer patients identify nausea as a main reason for being reluctant to begin chemotherapy and for discontinuing treatment. Numerous studies have shown the effectiveness of acupressure in relieving nausea associated with pregnancy and surgery. In a new pilot study recently published in the journal

Let Your Fingers Do the Healing
You’ve probably heard of acupuncture, or seen a photo of someone receiving the treatment—looking a bit like a human pincushion, with dozens of little needles sticking out of his body. But how much do you know about acupressure? With acupressure, you use finger or hand pressure instead of needles. But its goal is the same as acupuncture’s: to stimulate what Chinese medical practitioners call chi—the body’s most basic healing energy. Acupressure is the older, original technique, a Chinese home remedy that gave rise to the more “technological” approach of acupuncture. (In much the same way, the herb willow bark was the predecessor of aspirin.) Many American physicians and health professionals say that both of these techniques are powerful methods for pain relief and disease treatment.

    Acupressure
Health and Vitality, at Your Fingertips It's the start of a new school day and in classrooms across China, school children are practicing preventive health. Sitting at their desks, they press their index fingers between their eyes, pull their fingers down below their cheekbones, and press. With the middle three fingers of each hand, they press between their brows, pull out to their temples and press once more. In China, no one is too young to learn the fundamentals of acupressure, an integral element of centuries-old Traditional Chinese Medicine. More than 2,500 years ago, the Chinese concluded that they could relieve pain, lessen other symptoms of illness and promote health by pressing their fingers and hands on strategic points on the body. Pressing a point two inches above the wrist crease, on the inside of either wrist, between the tendons, it turned out, relieves and helps prevent nausea. Pressing the webbing between the thumb and index finger helps soothe and prevent headaches.

Welcome to Brandon Raynor's School of Therapeutic Massage (International) and Natural Therapies.
    History in Brief:

Whilst traveling around the world and learning massage under different masters of Hawaiian, Indian, Thai, Chinese and Japanese origin, I witnessed
various outstanding accounts of people being fixed of serious health problems and physical injuries with a wholistic and deep massage that was not being provided in the western world. I began to feel a great passion to learn as much as possible about the full healing potential of massage and return to Australia to help introduce this much deeper approach to massage that can fix people of years of built up tension and problems by invoking deep emotional and physical release.
Originally I began my study of massage in 1990 in Australia, and undertook all the required courses and study hours to receive my massage diploma in 1991 but at that time unfortunately I had never been taught or could find any one that knew how to massage or teach massage beyond a feel good rub that at best only temporarily eased sore muscles.
After practicing and receiving massage from practitioners and teachers around Australia and the rest of the world, in 1998 in Sydney I began practicing the unique powerful type of massage I since refer to as the "Raynor Technique". Before long I was heavily booked out and within a year, started the school BRSNT, as many of my patients were eager to know how to learn this massage that they often claimed made them feel the best they'd felt in years.

    Acupressure
Acupressure is the application of pressure to the body to affect the flow of energy (Ki) in the 12 meridians according to the principles of Oriental medicine. It is widely practised in China where more emphasis is given to a person’s responsibility for their own health than it is in the West, and is often used as a self-help treatment. Acupressure is believed to be the ‘mother of Acupuncture’ in that it predates the use of needles to stimulate the body’s energy flow. It has the same principles as Acupuncture, but the pressure is applied directly to the Acupoints of the body mainly by using the hands, fingers, thumb or knuckles and sometimes by using a smooth, blunt object. Stimulation of the body’s meridian system by touch is perhaps one of the oldest healing systems, and many other therapies use Acupressure techniques including Shen Tao, Jin Shen, Do Jin Shen, Qigong, Shiatsu and Tuina.
