Description
Bram Stoker's Dracula is the title given to a number of games based on the 1992 film of the same name. Gameplay for each game varies greatly from platform to platform, but they all retain a similar plot based on the movie. You control a young lawyer named Jonathan Harker. Harker must free himself from Dracula's capture, follow him to London, and end his reign of terror.
The DOS version is an adventure game played from a first person perspective. The 16-bit console versions are side-scrolling hack-and-slash games. The Game Boy version is also a side scrolling adventure game, but places more emphasis on level exploration than fighting. Finally, the Sega/Mega CD version is a side-scrolling fighting game that uses full-motion video backdrops and digitized actors.

THE JUDGE'S HOUSE
by
Bram Stoker
When the time for his examination drew near Malcolm Malcolmson made up his mind to go somewhere to read by himself. He feared the attractions of the seaside, and also he feared completely rural isolation, for of old he knew its charms, and so he determined to find some unpretentious little town where there would be nothing to distract him. He refrained from asking suggestions from any of his friends, for he argued that each would recommend some place of which he had knowledge, and where he had already acquaintances. As Malcolmson wished to avoid friends he had no wish to encumber himself with the attention of friends' friends and so he determined to look out for a place for himself. He packed a portmanteau with some clothes and all the books he required, and then took ticket for the first name on the local time-table which he did not know. From the post-office he got the name of the agent, who was rarely surprised at the application to rent a part of the old house. Mr. Carnford, the local lawyer and agent, was a genial old gentleman, and frankly confessed his delight at anyone being willing to live in the house. "To tell you the truth," said he, "I should be only too happy, on behalf of the owners, to let anyone have the house rent free, for a term of years if only to accustom the people here to see it inhabited. It has been so long empty that some kind of absurd prejudice has grown up about it, and this can be best put down by its occupation if only," he added with a sly glance at Malcolmson, "by a scholar like yourself, who wants its quiet for a time."

Bram Stoker's The Mummy: Review
BRAM STOKER'S THE MUMMY unearths a story familiar from classic Universal and Hammer horror movies; unfortunately, this straight-to-video rendition of the tale has few chills, and pales in comparison to the originals. In 1947, a little boy witnesses a bizarre death in an ancient Egyptian tomb. In present day California, Egyptologist Abel Trelawny (Lloyd Bochner) falls into a coma after he speaks the words that will awaken a mummy. His daughter Margaret (Amy Locane) enlists th... read more

You play the role of vampire hunter Jonathan Harker as you search the streets of London, the desolate Transylvanian countryside, and the dank dungeons of Castle Dracula. Through seven levels of terrifying action, you'll come face-to-face with bloodthirsty bats, poisonous spiders, and hordes of undead as you seek out Dracula himself. If you can survive long enough to reach the ultimate showdown, it'll be a fight to the death with the Prince of Darkness. Nobody knows you are here; so losing this fight is not an option. Bram Stoker's Dracula "BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA" Intro
I'm Joe Bob Briggs, and this is the night of Drah-kools and Vahm-peers. Do you notice how, if they want to make an artistic version of a horror film, they change the pronunciation? Count Drah-kool is a vahm-peer, in "Bram Stoker's Dracula," the 1992 big-budget Francis Ford Coppola adaptation of the neck-biting blood-sucking classic. Mel Brooks was so impressed by this movie that he did a full-scale big-budget parody of it, called "Dracula: Dead and Loving It," starring Leslie Nielsen as the count, and that's our SECOND feature tonight, when we go out to the trailer house a little bit later. I'll be here with you to follow the sinister Gary Oldman as he tries to give the lovely Winona Ryder an involuntary transfusion, and lure her away from her boring boyfriend, Keanu Reeves, in what is probably the most faithful adaptation of the original 1897 novel ever filmed. Although the standard remains the 1931 version with Bela Lugosi and I HAVE seen every Dracula movie ever made - about 160 of them - so don't even try to mess with me tonight. Some people still like the very FIRST adaptation, the German "Nosferatu" in 1922. Actually, that wasn't the first adaptation. There was a 1921 Hungarian movie. Called "Drakula." No one has seen it. They lost it. "Bram Stoker's Dracula," starring Gary Oldman and Anthony Hopkins. Lets roll it. [fading] I'm not kidding. Hungarian film. I've seen so many Dracula films that I knew films that don't exist. Film preservation, very important. Especially in Budapest. Dracula's home country. That's tragic.
