About Belief
If you believe you can... you're right.
If you believe you can't... you're right. It's all and always a matter of your belief. According to Richard Brooke, MOST (not all, but...) of our prospects do NOT believe that what they could earn in this business would be worth the time and effort they would need to put forth AND they believe they will NOT be successful in network marketing. Your prospecting "job" is to be a BeliefBuster (of the limiting ones like those above) and a BeliefBuilder (of positive possibilities). A belief is, by definition, a habit of thought, so know that it will take time to "bust" the self-sabatoging and self-limiting ones as well as to "build" the new, empowering beliefs. GET RICH SLOW is so for good reason. Posted by John Fogg on January 26, 2008 Permalink Comments (0) TrackBack (0)
It really is a dumb question.
I live in a glass house, so rock throwing is not something I indulge in, but... (you had to know that was coming), I'm chucking this one anyway. Kim Klaver (my beloved K2), posted this on her weblog today (last night):

Milton spent the English Civil Wars as a prominent politician and right hand man to Oliver Cromwell. When the Monarchy was restored in 1660 it was only Marvell's intervention that saved Milton from execution. By then, Marvell argued, Milton was old and blind and posed no threat to Charles II.

In 1632, having given up the idea of entering the Church, for which his father had intended him, he lived for 6 years at Horton, near Windsor, to which the latter had retired, devoted to further study. Here he wrote and Il Penseroso in 1632, Arcades Comus in 1634, and Lycidas in 1637. The first celebrates the pleasures of a life of cheerful innocence, and the second of contemplative, though not gloomy, retirement, and the last is a lament for a lost friend, Edward King, who perished at sea. Arcades and Comus are masques set to music by Henry Lawes, having for their motives respectively family affection and maiden purity. Had he written nothing else these would have given him a place among the immortals. In 1638 he completed his education by a period of travel in France and Italy, where he visited Grotius at Paris, and Galileo at Florence. The news of impending troubles in Church and State brought him home the following year, and with his return may be said to close the first of three well-marked divisions into which his life falls. These may be called (1) the period of preparation and of the early poems; (2) the period of controversy, and of the prose writings; and (3) the period of retirement and of the later poems.

Milton, John (1608-1674) Milton may be the greatest poet in the English language. A political activist and fierce controversialist, he is at once the voice of revolutionary idealism and the icon of Christian humanism, as monumentalized in Paradise Lost (1667). Although he has often been accused of misogyny, his attitude toward women was advanced for his day. Similarly, though there is no doubt that he accepted the biblical condemnation of sodomy, there is reason to think that his attitude toward same-sex relations was enlightened for his age. In a psychoanalytic study, John Shawcross analyzed Milton's intense relationship with his boyhood friend Charles Diodati, concluding that "The total view of Diodati seen from the extant evidence certainly points to a homosexual nature; of Milton, to a latent homosexualism which was probably repressed consciously (as well as subconsciously) from becoming overt except with Diodati."
