Welcome! The Lucan Area Heritage, a non-profit organization, was formed in the April 1995, and got its start in the old Ford Dealership Building on Main Street, Lucan, Ontario, in Hank Arnold's show-room. We gathered historical artifacts and displayed them every Saturday afternoon for public viewing. Our first big fund raiser was selling Cash Calendars with a prize drawn every day of the year. In two years, we had a profit of about $25,000.00. Other fundraisers include: Ride Back in Time, Heritage Dinners, Heritage Festivals, Bus Tours, selling scrap metal, and awesome auction sales, and of course, many private donations. In the fall of 1998, we purchased a lot with a two-car garage from Dr. Lock, and by February 1999, we had it and our log cabin in good enough shape to move in. Ireland a free of charge, fun packed family day-out celebrating modern Irish culture Over 10,000 locals turn out to cheer on the 1,500 participants from local organisations who brave the artic weather that sweeps across the country on St. Patrick’s Day. Onlookers cheerfully bundle up snug and warm in their woolly hats, scarfs and gloves don ’t let the freezing conditions deter them from having “the craic”. The Lucan St. Patrick's Day Parade is a "Non-Profit" organisation grant aided by an Arts Grant from South Dublin County Council and donations from local Business. The parade assembles at Tesco at 2pm and is led off at 3pm by the Colour Party 7th Infantry Battalion Irish Reserve Forces. They are followed by a sea of colour and excitement featuring Irish Dancers, Marching Bands, African Drums, Clowns, Cartoon characters and lots more. The Parade Committee is ably assisted each year by the Lucan Gardai, as well as a group of 30 volunteer Stewards, who help to keep things running smoothly.

But having defeated Nero in a poetry contest he was interdicted from further recitals or publication, so that three books of his epic The Civil War were probably not issued in 61 when they were finished.
