Lima Bean Riot John Gattone, founder member I'd like to wish my ex band members a Merry Christmas and tell everyone what went down with the band. Two weeks ago I got a call from Frank Kielb (our manager) telling me that I was voted out of my band. I was shocked. All I asked for was a meeting to discuss why and a reason. Our manager couldn’t make it happen. People keep asking me what kind of a manager is he to let this happen. I was the band leader. I supplied the practice space, I was the guy who fixed things. I was the guy who bought band gear on my own time and with my own money so we could have the things we needed to sound good. I did just about everything for the band. Frank incorporated the band but didn’t protect the people that made the band. This is the band I created with Matt DeCarlo, one of my so called good friends. Matt and I played for almost 20 years together. I did a lot of things for Matt and his family throughout the years. We played "Battle of the Bands" together in high school, and won. From there we formed a band called "Cross Town Traffic". We were the guys who hired and fired people. Matt, I know you just want to play your drums, but there comes a time when you need to say to yourself that family and friends are more important than hitting your drums. Someday you will look back and understand.
