Each man should frame life so that at some
future hour fact and his dreaming meet. Victor Hugo was born on February 26, 1802 in Besancon, France. He was a poet, novelist, and dramatist and the most important French Romantic writer of the 19th Century. Hugo is best known for his novels " Notre-Dame de Paris " (a.k.a Hunchback of Notre-Dame) (1831) and " Les Miserables
Hugo created poems and novels that integrated political and philosophical questions with stories of his times. Many of Hugo's poems addressed the social disquiet of post-revolutionary France. Others to the glory of Napoleon . He wrote with simplicity and power of the joys and sorrows of life. Hugo authored an enormous body of work. Every morning he would write at least 100 lines of verse or 20 pages of prose.
A recurring theme in Hugo's work is humanity's ceaceless combat with evil. He eloquently stated the problems of his century and the great eternal human questions. Modern readers are still captured by the larger than life characters and re-creation of the swarming underworld of 19th Century Paris found in "Les Miserables."
Hugo died in Paris on the 23 of May, 1885 at the age of 83. His state funeral was attended by nearly two million people. It took ten thousand police control the crowds. On the first of June, Hugo was laid to rest in the Panthenon alongside

    The Bottom Line
Victor Hugo was born in Caracas, Venezuela, later moving to the U.K. His brand of salsa is more in the Colombian vein than Cuban or Puerto Rican, his voice an expressive and impressive instrument that has a wide range, from breathy croon to a strong, demanding vocalism. Que Pasa is an album full of surprises, from a salsa version of "Mona Lisa", through the English language ballad "Island Girl". Entertaining and danceable, there are no bad or boring tracks on this exceptional album. Listen Pros

This show marked the end of an era at Cosgrove Hall. It was the last cel-animated production before the big Thames collapse and company revamp, and the final project to feature the voices of CH stalwart Brian Trueman and cuddly TV munchkin David Jason. It also featured many guest appearances from other Cosgrove Hall characters, a common practise in comics, but an unusual step for a cartoon. I could speculate that the makers thought the show couldn't stand on its own and needed these popular, established characters to attract viewers... but heck, what do I know. So, was it actually any good? Well basically, most people either really loved it or really hated it. I can't deny it suffered from uninspired writing in places, and was a step down from its predecessor Count Duckula in terms of style. But it did have eye-pleasing character designs, great animation (most of the time), and taught viewers how to call someone a rotter in French. Who says cartoons aren't educational? Oh, and it seems to be wildly popular in Australia (insert your own Australians/criminals joke here.) Unfortunately
