    The patient
A journalist named Fletcher Stone (who wrote 12 books and exposed three administrations) who collapses (hitting his head) while giving a speech and when he gets up, his sentences don't make sense to anyone except himself.
    How House gets involved
As Cuddy says, "House is in Baltimore lying to Medicaid about his billings." But she calls him (Wilson and House discuss then when they talk) and later House discusses the case with Wilson and then calls to talk Foreman, Chase and Cameron via speaker phone.
    The mis-diagnoses
Foreman, Chase and Cameron think the aphasia is caused by the blow to Fletcher's head. And later they are all over the map: "meningitis or encephalitis; or maybe auto-immune". Due to not knowing what is going on, three of the patient's organ systems fail.

    Sarah Lucas
    Perceval
At Doris C. Freedman Plaza in Central Park
Fifth Avenue and 60th Street, New York
    November 11, 2007 May 1, 2008
September 10, 2007: new york – This November, Public Art Fund will present the first public installation in North America by British artist Sarah Lucas at Doris C. Freedman Plaza. The large-scale sculpture of a horse and cart will be on view at 60 th Street and Fifth Avenue, at the entrance to Central Park, from November 11 through May 1, 2008. A leading figure of the infamous Young British Artists (YBAs), Lucas is one of the most significant contemporary artists working in London today. This installation marks her first outdoor exhibition in New York. Perceval is a life-sized bronze sculpture of a Shire horse pulling a cart overflowing with two oversized marrows, or squash. The piece stands 7.5 feet tall by 13 feet long, and weighs 5 tons. The largest breed of draft horses, Shires are also frequently used in official and ceremonial processions by the Royal cavalries. At once an homage to and satire of English culture, the piece is a replica of a popular knick-knack that adorns many mantelpieces in the UK; the subject matter reflects Lucas' predilection for reexamining everyday objects in unusual contexts. The installation of Perceval at the entrance to Central Park, where horse drawn carriages line-up daily to offer guided visits of New York, plays off of its urban and pedestrian surroundings. The giant marrows are cast in cement, one of Lucas' favored materials, providing a striking contrast to the high finish of the painted bronze sculpture. However, here Lucas plays with scale, rendering the vegetables almost equal in size to the horse that pulls them.

Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith DEAR STACY: On "October Road," isn't Bryan Greenberg the same actor who played in the movie "Prime" as Uma Thurman's boyfriend? Had he ever acted on TV before? He is perfect for this. How old is he? Dorothy T., East Elmhurst, N.Y.
DEAR DOROTHY: The 29-year-old, Omaha, Neb.-born Greenberg did indeed play Uma's love/Meryl Streep's son in "Prime." His credits include the role of Jake Jagielski on "One Tree Hill," guest parts on such series as "Boston Public," and the feature "Nobel Son," which was shown at last year's Tribeca Film Festival.

A welcome introduction to contemporary poetics, this collection represents one of the first attempts to chart the progress of a new generation of poets. Each chapter focuses on one poet, and includes a selection of poems, a brief statement of purpose by the poet, and a critical essay by a notable scholar. Working in forms ranging from the post-confessional lyric to documentary poetics, from the prose poem and the sonnet to sound poetry, these thirteen poets rank among the most notable and distinct of recent years. American Poets in the 21st Century will serve as a useful and enlightening guide for any reader interested in how new American poetry can look, feel, and sound. The enclosed CD includes each of the thirteen poets reading their work.

The Sorrow and the Fast of it
    by Nathalie Stephens
The Sorrow and the Fast of It is a thick and poignant prose conversation between Stephens' multiple identity charactersthe dominant Nathalie and her equivalent, yet often violently subversive, Nathanael. Complex and sophisticated in its analogies, Sorrow creates a chaotic and beautiful dual-minded pull of madness. With an often internal argument between the need for industrial terrain (Nathalie) and ocean/sea (Nathanael), Stephens successfully paints a conflicted and tense battle between these two "personalities," with no resolve by the end. Stephens is an essential contemporary writer and Sorrow should become a necessity in college literature courses as an example of experimental prose. Stephens tells us more of the mind and mind-body relation than any specialized philosopher of the like. October 2007 Lindsay Keller recommends
