The paperback book, with a notation, penned by Tolkien on the inside front cover: 'J.R.R. Tolkien from L. Sprague de Camp July 1962'
The more significant item, is a sheet of stationary from the Hotel Miramar, East Overcliff, Bournemouth.
On the verso, Tolkien has written in pencil, and overwritten the latter part in ink, a lengthy criticism of a story by Lord Dunslay, originally published in 1912 and entitled: "Distressing Tale of Thangobrind the Jeweler", which is included in the book.
A not very complementary critique, but a wonderful example of his cryptic handwriting.
A fantastic pair of items, written or signed by the author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
Digital photo's available, inquire if interested.
Other Tolkien books available, include both the UK and US editions, original cloth bindings, custom fine bindings, and Signed/Numbered/Limited Editions.

Book Description
Imagine a world of gods and demons, where men are warriors, women are beautiful, life is a fantastic adventure, and the fate of kingdoms balances on the bloody blade of a fabulous hero: Conan of the iron thews, the blue-eyed barbarian giant who towers above the savage Hyborian world.
For the very first time in trade, this is the work that relaunched Conan in both the 1970s and 80s, back in print after more than a decade.
Come live the adventure again.

This page lists all the UK book publications of Howard's work. It is based solely upon my collection so not all reprints will be listed. If anything is missing the please let me know . The majority of Howard's Conan stories published by Sphere were often heavily edited by L. Prehistoric Pulp is a blog dedicated to fantastic fiction about dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, with reviews, cover blurbs and news about upcoming works. Also covered here, although less comprehensively, are comics and board/roleplaying games featuring prehistoric critters. There are no reviews for movies or television shows, but I do include news items about upcoming films.

Biography of Bud Foote
Irving Flint "Bud" Foote (1930-2005) spent his career as a professor of English at the School of Literature, Communication, and Culture at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His scholarly interest in science fiction extended to his teaching: He pioneered classes in the study of science fiction, as well as in speed reading and African-American studies. Bud Foote was born on August 19, 1930 in Linconia, New Hampshire. Foote attended Princeton University and received a B.A. in English in 1952 (Summa Cum Laude). Later, Foote attended the University of Connecticut to obtain an M.A. in English before coming to Georgia Tech in 1957. As a professor at Georgia Tech, Foote influenced the curriculum as much as he influenced his students. Both a political activist and folk-music enthusiast, Foote was passionate about the arts and teaching. He had eclectic tastes, and on many occasions he brought his banjo to class.
