Of course one of the major issues that believers involved in contextualization need to prayerfully consider is the danger of syncretism, but often we have erred on the side of 'throwing out the baby with the bathwater' rather than recognizing that God delights in the various 'colors' and artistic expressions of worship of His people of various cultures as they are reclaimed for His glory.

Yet their numbers are severely reduced each year by the politics of consumerism and by despotic or uncaring governments who have no respect for their own minority populations. Indigenous peoples have a moral right to live in whatever way they choose, without the confining structures of imposed and hostile governments, and without their existence needing to be perceived as beneficial to developed society. However, the combined pressures of crippling foreign debt, fast-rising populations, and internal political struggles often mean that the still, small voices of the worlds indigenous tribes are lost in a cacophony of geo-political platitudes.
