The law requires us to draw up a Welsh Language Scheme. This will detail how we will deliver services to Welsh language users. The scheme includes services operating in Wales, and those covering Wales but located elsewhere. The DRC is committed to fulfilling its duties under the Welsh Language Act. The second draft of the DRC's Welsh Language Scheme is currently with the Welsh Language Board for comment. We expect that this will form the basis for the consultation version of the Scheme. We already put the bulk of the principles and procedures of the Scheme into practice in our work.
