Extractions: This position is responsible for providing classroom and on-site training to community and non-transient, non-community water system personnel in the state of Vermont. The training specialist will teach public water system owners and operators about all aspects of the operation and maintenance of drinking water systems, including technical, managerial and financial matters for all classes of operator certification. Duties Schedule, organize, develop and/or otherwise provide training to drinking water operators. Topics will include but are not limited to: operator certification, regulatory updates, operation and maintenance of all aspects of a water system, financial planning, groundwater treatment, surface water treatment, and distribution. Work with the State of Vermont Water Supply Division to identify and develop a curriculum for the training needs of public water systems. Work with other training organizations to ensure that the training needs of the drinking water operators of the state are being met in a timely manner.
