The Governor estimates the actual Proposition 98 per-pupil funding to be $7,402 in 2005-06, a $395 increase from last year. The budget exceeds the newly benched Proposition 98 minimum funding level by over $740.9 million for this year and contributes over 40% of the General Fund to K-12 education.
