Extractions: Following the completion of his studies he spent some time in Paris in 1991, where he mostly composed, as well as visiting IRCAM. During this period he composed Under bron under tiden (Under the bridge, over time, 1991) for wind band and percussion, which was his breakthrough work as a composer. Another celebrated piece was the Förändringsfanfar (Variable Fanfare), a small piece for each day of the year, written for brass duo and commissioned by the Stockholm Cultural Capital of Europe 1998, where the work was performed each day that year. Andersson also composes electroacoustic music. Andersson himself says that he tries to maintain a completely open attitude to composing. He establishes strict rules, admittedly, but at the same time he permits himself to break them occasionally. He also attempts to stretch his material with new forms, such as interactive music, for example, where the composition consists more of computer-programming than musical notes. One example of this is Talking to the Witch (1997) for trombone and computer.

Former world No.1 Lleyton Hewitt put the home side back on level terms after Mark Philippoussis lost the first match. Hewitt beat Sweden's Robin Soderling 6-4 6-3 6-1, equaling Adrian Quist's Australian record for wins in the Davis Cup at 24 victories. "It (Quist's record) was in the back of my mind but the main priority was to try and get us back to 1-1," said Hewitt, who overcame a strong start by Soderling before gradually wearing the 19-year-old down. I just had to come out and play my best tennis. The first set was important but I got off to a good start and it was nice to have the win in straight sets."

CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: St. Bridget Of Sweden Also called Birgitta. Biography of the mother of 8, widow, visionary, founder of the Brigittines. http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/02782a.htm
Extractions: Home Encyclopedia Summa Fathers ... B > St. Bridget of Sweden A B C D ... CICDC - Home of the Catholic Lifetime Reading Plan (Also Birgitta). The most celebrated saint of the Northern kingdoms, born about 1303; died 23 July, 1373. Early Life She was the daughter of Birger Persson, governor and provincial judge ( Lagman ) of Uppland, and of Ingeborg Bengtsdotter. Her father was one of the wealthiest landholders of the country, and, like her mother, distinguished by deep piety. St. Ingrid, whose death had occurred about twenty years before Bridget's birth, was a near relative of the family. Birger's daughter received a careful religious training, and from her seventh year showed signs of extraordinary religious impressions and illuminations. To her education, and particularly to the influence of an aunt who took the place of Bridget's mother after the latter's death (c. 1315), she owed that unswerving strength of will which later distinguished her. Marriage In 1316, at the age of thirteen, she was united in marriage to Ulf Gudmarsson, who was then eighteen. She acquired great influence over her noble and pious husband, and the happy marriage was blessed with eight children, among them St. Catherine of Sweden.

Instead of one document, Sweden has four fundamental laws which serve as a basis for how Sweden is ruled. The Riksdag is not one of the fundamental laws but occupies a position between a fundamental law and an ordinary law. To read the full text of the laws click the links in the left-hand column.
