When not volunteering with the children, weekend activities such as hiking, biking and canoeing will ensure that you experience the adventurous side of Guatemala. One weekend of adventure is included in the project placement fee. Field Conditions: Living with local families in comfortable but basic accommodation allows for an enriching cultural experience and the valuable opportunity to practice Spanish! All accommodation provided is private and has hot showers. Volunteers can choose to live with a family by themselves or with up to 3 other Volunteers. The local family provides three home cooked meals daily. Long term Volunteers can arrange separate accommodation with other Volunteers if preferable.
