South Dakota State University SDSU is the largest university in a regental system of six universities in South Dakota. Enrollment over the last five years has ranged from 8,000 to 10,000 students. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is in the College of Engineering and currently has 17 full time faculty. The number of mathematics majors has varied over the last few years from 60-75 students, with approximately 15 majors graduating each year.
