Extractions: Falling Into Good Grammar I love fall! It is my favorite time of year, and I love to decorate my room with a harvest theme. This bulletin board, "Falling into Good Grammar" was great. I used a scarecrow theme on the boards trim, and with it I used a 5 ft. scarecrow that I had purchased at Walmart for about $6. It is originally attached to a pole for lawn use, but I cut the pole off and just stapled the garment to my bulletin board. I used some other 3-D effects (the pussy willow branches and... source
Extractions: WERE SO "EGG"CITED ABOUT SPRING The idea for this bulletin board came from my wonderfully talented teaching assistant, Tena Riden. I was in need of a bulletin board that could be used through Easter and spring. The background was created from blue bulletin board paper with hills, which I cut from green bulletin board paper. I wanted my students to be involved in creating this board. So, each student created a colored, cracked egg, decorated in an Easter theme, from white construction paper. In addition, they colored baby ducks, also done on white construction paper, to go with the eggs. Both the eggs and ducks were cut out and I assembled them on the board...

Extractions: T ips for teachers, parents and kids on how to live "greener" everyday lives. Contact me at Teachgreen@AOL.com Hi! Thanks for stopping by. Every month, I will answer your questions on how to bring environmental studies into the classroom, how to deepen our environmental awareness and how to live more "green". I'll suggest seasonal activities that can help our children get closer to nature and give suggestions on how to encourage them to be loving caretakers of our great planet earth. I want to encourage our children (and ourselves) to fall in love with nature. When you love something, you will take care of it. I look forward to hearing from teachers and parents about environmental projects that you've done that have been successful. E-mail me at teachgreen@aol.com and I'll share with others what you are doing. Also, I want to hear from Kids! E-mail your poems and stories about nature, ecology and our great Planet Earth, to Teachgreen@aol.com and I will share your feelings with other kids in the Earth Patrol Kids section at the end of this site. Question: I've been reading through your columns and thoroughly enjoy it. You've put some great information out there for teachers and others to draw from.
