Science Teacher Resource Page The concepts are divided into Biology, Chemistry, physics and general Science. Most web sites for science teachers focus exclusively on lesson plans, http://educ.queensu.ca/~science/
Extractions: W elcome to the Science Education Resource Page! This is a web site dedicated to helping science teachers by providing some science teaching resources. Science Concepts in the form of concept development, demonstrations, labs and activities and teaching tips. A list of annotated Science Links that are categorized by subject or organization. In addition, we are constructing a site that also attends to our Professional Development as teachers. The design, maintenance, and contents of this web site have primarily been the work of teacher candidates enrolled in the secondary-school science panel of the Bachelor of Education program at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Science Concepts T his page contains the complete list of the major concepts involved in teaching Science in the Secondary Classroom. The concepts are divided into Biology, Chemistry, Physics and General Science. Each major concept is listed and linked to its list of Concept Development, Demos, Tips and Labs/Activites. M ost web sites for science teachers focus exclusively on lesson plans, demonstrations, and ideas to assist them in improving the presentation of science subject matter. The following is a page of links to examples of how a science teacher can enhance the quality of the teaching and learning experiences of his/her students. By problematizing our own teaching and learning, we can begin to conduct "research" on our own practice in order to enhance the experiences of all learners, including our own.

Extractions: A comprehensive, research-based physics curriculum that utilizes a learning cycle approach appropriate for all high school students. Comprehensive Conceptual Curriculum for Physics C P offers an integrated approach to physics content, instructional materials, and pedagogy. C P is a research-based curriculum developed at the Department of Physics at the University of Dallas. The project is available on a single CD-ROM that includes both the curriculum and resource materials. Other physics projects such as Conceptual Physics, PRISMS CASTLE Operation Physics Tools for Scientific Thinking Physics: Cinema Classics , and The Mechanical Universe High School Adaptation have been utilized in the development of this curriculum. Although C P was designed for students in grades 9 through 12, it contains an assortment of resources, making it flexible enough to accommodate a variety of teachers and students. The Comprehensive Conceptual Curriculum for Physics ( C P ) Project was developed by funding from the National Science Foundation (Grant No. ESI-9254590).
