The FOSS (Full Option Science System) kits for grades K-6 are produced by the Lawrence Hall of Science and published by Delta Education. They are kits organized in four strands, earth science, life science, physical science and scientific reasoning. One can search the FOSS book database for books which can be used to supplement the various kits. There is also a document correlating FOSS kits with the National Science Education Content Standards. Volunteers for the Committee are: Sandy Grunwald, Barb Nielsen, Marc Goulet, and Claudia Barreto. The Board expressed a desire to seek Colleen McDermott's participation on this committee again this year. The Search-and-Screen Committee is also composed of representatives from UW-Oshkosh as well, since half of the candidate's position is responsible for coordinating the activites of the Science Outreach office.
