Philosophy is deep subject with a history as long as there has been recorded history. One way to approach philosophy is to treat it as a tool for raising critical questions about life's most important concepts. I believe philosophy provides an avenue to finding the truth about life's most important questions. I believe Christianity is true, and that God's nature is truth. Consequently, I believe that when people honestly seek the truth, they can find it. Apologetics can be understood as an application of philosophy to Christianity. Apologetics is the practice of giving an intellectual defense of of one's faith. More precisely, negative apologetics dispels apparent problems with Christianity, and positive apologetics provides reasons for the truth of Christianity. Often apologetics intersects with other disciplines, like history and science. Of course, there is more to Christianity than pure rationality. Christianity is more than matters of reason, but it certainly is not any less than reasonable. The great apologist G. K. Chesterton captured the reasonableness of Christianity when he wrote: "The problem with Christianity is not that it has been tried and found wanting, but that it has been found difficult, and left untried."
