Since then the FYE service learning program has had a significant impact on student learning, led to the expansion of service learning in the curriculum, increased campus-wide interest and involvement in community service, and provided the local community with over 65,000 hours of valued service. The major FYE program components include: Athens to New York - All students in their first year enroll in this interdisciplinary core course, taught by full-time faculty in residence hall classrooms.
