Extractions: Edit Your Page I am researching the Ballantine name in the state of Illinois. The beginning of my research is Braidwood, Illinois where Kelso Ballantine (GGGrandfather) from Auchinleck, Ayrshire, Scotland came to live in September, 1869. His family consisting of Robert(GGrandfather), Kelso Ray, Martha (Sharp), Annabella (Sutton), Catherine (Kate)(Sherwood) Janet(Ferguson) and John. I'm hoping to contact any of these relatives. Kelso Ray moved to Chicago, the sisters stay in the Joliet area while my ggrandfather Robert, married Janet Hamilton in Braidwood, Illinois and then moved to Pine Grove, California in the mid-1880's. They had six children (Joseph Hamilton-Grandfather), Robert M, William Kelso, Agnes (Ludekens), Martha (Lowellen), Kelso. I'm missing information about the California Ballantine's as well. I am also willing to share the information I have. The content shown on this page has been submitted by a Genealogy.com customer, and is not subject to verification by Genealogy.com.
