Extractions: I have been detecting since April 2001 and use a Minelab Explorer XS and now The Explorer MKII as my main machines and a Tesoro Cortez . My girlfriend has got the Minelab Sovereign Elite with the meter . Looks and feels great, she loves the thing and is doing well with it, seems to be alot better. Most of my finds have been made down in Dorset, but due to a lack of permissions as not local, I am having to try to find land in the surrey which is a very difficult area. I belong to a club called the weekend wanderers which solves allot of Sunday days out and is a terrific club, very friendly. So if you like, take a look at the finds I have made so far.

Extractions: This is a long, boring story. Years ago, way back in college in 1998, I was dating a woman named Meredith. Her best friend Alice starting dating a friend of mine named Ian Fraser (they're married now and just had their first baby, Seamus, named after the late Seamus McElliot, one of Haverford's best runners.) So anyway, as the legend goes, Fraser's ex was pretty upset when he started dating Alice, so she signed Alice up for dozens of trial magazine subscriptions, including Lost Treasure magazine. Of course, neither Meredith nor Alice wanted Lost Treasure magazine, so they gave it to me as a joke. "Wow, this is cool!" I exclaimed. They mistook my enthusiasm for irony... "I know, what a stupid magazine...", they responded. "No, I'm serious, this is cool as hell!". My interest was piqued... Years later, for Father's Day 2001, I got my Dad a subscription to Lost Treasure magazine, which lead to our purchase of a metal detector in February 2002. Here's my Dad, Big Wally Spacco, our White's Classic ID, and I at Prettyboy Reservoir trying to find the old church, in Spring 2002.
