Sitemap September 11, 2005 Bar Harbor, Maine More than thirty soldiers, most veterans of recent deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, participated in a sunrise observance of the four year anniversary of 9/11 attacks of 2001 in Arcadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine. The soldiers started the day with a hike along the North Ridge Trail which summits on top of Cadillac Mountain. Once there, a devotional service was held which included a moment of silence to observe the exact time the first plane hit the World Trade Center at 8:45 a.m. on September 11, 2001. Chaplain David Sivret, 133d Engineer Battalion, presided over the observance. BG Robert Carmichael and CSM Gregory Small addressed those in attendance.
