This is a compilation of web links that I have found and saved thinking I would need these one day or saved them and use them regularly in our family's homeschooling adventure. This is not meant to be the last word on what's available out there, but is more a way to keep ME organized. It is my hope and prayer that other families will benefit from this webpage. This is a work in progress, so be patient. If you find any dead links, PLEASE send me an email to let me know. There's nothing more annoying than thinking you have found a great site, only to see it can't be found. . . Biology Corner -- Teaching Resources Offers profound resources of tutorials and lesson plans for biology and science teachers. Devoted to the compilation of interactive education sites. http://www.biologycorner.com/
Extractions: The Biology Corner is a resource site for biology and science teachers. The Lesson Plans section contains classroom activities, labs and worksheets, feel free to change any of these to suit your own classroom needs. The Webquest section contains inquiry based projects that utilize the internet. Internet lessons (also called miniquests) are smaller activities that use one or two science related web sites for the students to explore and answer questions about. Again, feel free to modify these activities so that they work for your class and your style of teaching. I've been making it a personal mission to locate and compile interactive science education sites. Some web programs like Flash can create some amazing virtual labs that students can really benefit from. You will find many of these places in the section under internet lessons, all of which utilize fantastic websites to help students understand scientific concepts. Please contact me if you know of other sites (particularly shockwave virtual labs) and I'll add more lessons. Answer keys are not included, due to the fact my students use this site.
