The lesson plans, available from the Mints "Pocket Change" Web site (www.usmint.gov/kids) were originally designed for students in grades K-6. Because of their success, the lesson plans were expanded to appeal to students in grades 7-12, including the use of "WebQuests," which require students to use the Internet to research answers to questions. The materials focus on mathematics, geography, history, language, art, science, financial literacy, and more. Also available are lessons on the newly released Westward Journey Nickel Series.
