Extractions: MICRON INTERNET SERVICES DEBUTS K-12 PARTNER PROGRAM TO BENEFIT IDAHO SCHOOLS Boise, Idaho, December 4, 1998 Micron Internet Services, a division of Micron Technology, Inc., today announced the launch of their K-12 Partner Program in cooperation with the Boise School District. The K-12 Partner Program provides members who have a student enrolled in a Boise school discounted monthly Internet access. Additionally, the member's school of choice will earn funds each month based on the member's continued participation in the program. Micron pays these funds to each school in cash with no restrictions on how they're used. Beyond the financial benefits of the program, the member also receives a special "hot link" to the selected school via their personal control panel in Micron's online Subscriber's Toolbox. "The K-12 Partner Program is another way for Micron to support our schools in a very tangible, flexible way," says Todd Chavez, Micron Internet Services' marketing manager. "Internet access is an increasingly beneficial education tool. Students use the Internet for class projects and homework, and parents can take an active role in their child's education by visiting their school's Web site and communicating with teachers via email. The K-12 Partner Program is designed to promote these capabilities."
