In 2002 IPUL received a grant to provide the same services to Spanish speaking families in Idaho. Some of the services we provide for Idaho families are: individual one-on-one assistance to families of children and youth with disabilities birth to 21, regional workshops designed to inform families and others on special education laws and other topics relevant to raising a child with a disability, written materials and general information about disabilities including regional and national resources, and a quarterly newsletter. IPUL was founded in 1985 to provide support, information and technical assistance to parents of children and youth with disabilities. Since 1989 IPUL has been designated as Idaho's Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) by the U.S. Department of Education, which provides funding for its programs.
