Time.com People Fortune EW HALLANDALE BEACH, Florida (CNN) One teen-ager was in police custody on Tuesday and another was released to his parents after a mother became concerned because a family gun was missing. According to the Broward County School Board, Hallandale High School personnel were called on Monday by a student's mother who said she had reason to believe her son, a 15-year-old student, may have taken the .38-caliber handgun to school. School officials approached the boy and found no gun, but they said he confessed that he had given the gun to an 18-year-old classmate, Vincent Stewart. According to the school board, Stewart was carrying the gun when he was approached by school authorities. Stewart and the younger boy were taken into police custody and have been suspended from school. The 15-year-old was released into his parent's custody. Stewart spent the night at the Broward County Jail charged with carrying a firearm onto school property. Bond has been set at $2,500.
