Most of the activities and information at the elementary level is mostly old-had stuff. Your materials are fresh, easy-to-use and chock full of info and ideas. You are really on the 'cutting edge' of providing new and nifty rock and mineral activities" "The list of how I use your material goes on and on. The iron in the cereal experiment will be used during our electricity/magnetism unit. We just finished astronomy. The information about the gold plated Hubble telescope was shared. The article on mirrors and reflection fits into our current unit on light. The material on money fits our third and fourth grade economic unit. The pencil article fits our simple machines and invention unit. Geology is coming up soon and information and posters will be used creatively. Third grade just finished a dental health unit and made toothpase. I'll share the tooth page with them!!"
Extractions: It is said that the Indian name for Staten Island is Monacnong , or Enchanted Woods. Staten Island has, indeed, been enchanted for those who have had the privilege of living there. Somewhere between the city and the country you get the balance that is Staten Island. A British officer wrote in 1776 about Staten Island: "Surely this country is the Paradise of the world...the inhabitants of this Island are tall, thin, narrow shouldered people, very simple in their manners, know neither Poverty nor Riches, each house has a good farm, and every man a trade, they know no distinction of Persons, and I am sure must have lived very happily till these troubles." (The Revolution) Richmond County was named in honor of the Duke of Richmond, son of Charles II. (Source: New York Department of State.)

The polonization process of the Chojnice population has been hindered by plaques. During the period between 1352 and 1711, there were eleven outbreaks of plagues in the town. In 1657, from the Whitsunday feast to Advent, 3000 out of 3500 people had died in the town. In such cases, they were replaced by German colonists. Following are the most important information about churches and monasteries located in Chojnice: Templum hoc a secta Lutheri a. 1555 occnpatum, reeuperatum a catholicis a. 1616 ." Stanislaw Latalski, chief of the człuchowski district had been supporter of Protestants in the area. The fire set by Swedes in 1657, damaged beautiful ceiling in the nave of the church. Another fire, set by Protestants in 1733 destroyed the ceiling in presbytery. The church has the one important monument of Dorengowski.( the judge of Tczew) who took back the custody of the church from Protestants in 1616. Jesuits received from Dorengowski brothers substantial land properties. He brought members of Jesuit order and gave them financial support. On the Człóchów suburbs, the presbytery called in the name of the Holly Spirit had stayed before, founded by the Teutonic Knights. In 1555, its premises went into Protestants custody. In 1656, the presbytery was burned down by Swedes; had been rebuilt and is used by Protestants as their church building nowadays.
