This year closed questions are being introduced in the exam as they have been found to be a popular innovation on other Psychology courses. You can see the lecture summaries and practice closed questions for the lectures by following this link to the Ethology Sociobiology SiteBuilder pages. The course Selection and Instruction applies ethological ideas to human behaviour, especially in development, and may suit you if you find the ideas on this course interesting. At present you will need to request permission from psychology to do it as an unusual option. The printed version of this reference list is a copy of the Web version, which can be accessed through the Psychology undergraduate course pages. Note that this is a reference list, not a reading list; many of the references give the same information, to allow for the fact that if there many students to each book, you may not be able to get hold of the book you first intended in time to use it. Guide To GO Evidence Codes If more than one independent genetic interaction supports the association, Notes Addition of the IEP category generated a lot of discussion via email. http://www.geneontology.org/GO.evidence.shtml
Extractions: gene or protein name GO term or ID GO website This document is intended to help standardize the way the evidence codes are used for GO annotation of genes/gene products. See the QuickStart GO evidence code guide for a brief summary of evidence codes and their uses. Every GO annotation must indicate the type of evidence that supports it; these evidence codes correspond to broad categories of experimental or other support. The codes are listed along with some examples (not exhaustive lists) of the kinds of experiments that would fall into each category. Note that these evidence codes are intended for use in conjunction with GO terms, and should not be considered in isolation from the terms. In other words, an evidence code indicates how annotation to a particular term is supported, and is not necessarily a classification of an experiment. For every evidence category, there is room for curators to exercise judgement about the quality of the evidence, and how well it supports annotation to a node within each ontology. The distinction between "TAS" and "NAS" is particularly sensitive to interpretation (see below).

Today, how to find information about genetic diseases more common among Jewish communities. Once again, a caution that the Internet should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice. The best place to start is at the National Foundation for Jewish Genetic Diseases Web site www.nfjgd.org The foundation has supplied online information and Web links about genetic diseases more common among Jews, such as Bloom's syndrome, Canavan disease, familial dysautonomia, Fanconia anemia, Gaucher disease, mucolipidosis IV, Niemann-Pick disease, Tay-Sachs disease and torsion dystonia. You can find links to specialized Web sites dedicated to those illnesses at www.nfjgd.org/internet.shtml (I will devote a future article to Jewish genetics, cancer and the Internet.) Several universities and medical centers have established divisions that specialize in Jewish genetic diseases such as the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network www.einstein.edu/jewishgenetics the Jewish Genetic Disorders Program at Chicago's Children's Memorial Hospital http://jewishgenetics.org and The Center for the Study and Treatment of Jewish Genetic Diseases at the University of Pittsburgh

MGD stores genetic, physical and comparative mapping data, clones/probes/PCR information, and phenotype descriptions for genes, mutations and mouse strains. Supporting software for importation, analysis, display and distribution of mouse genetic data have been developed. User support is provided through dedicated staff providing documentation, training, and response to individual user queries. MGD is accessible over the Internet at URL http://www.informatics.jax.org.
