What Price Entertainment? getting harder and harder to find an uncrowded group of video keno machines. Could it be that the entertainment factor, the big draw to the newer slots, http://brooks.casinocitytimes.com/articles/949.html
Extractions: I’ve noticed a growing trend.... now instead of finding happy gamblers playing the newer slots, I am instead finding clumps of gamblers piled into the remaining "old" slots.... standing room only for the video pokers... and it is getting harder and harder to find an uncrowded group of video keno machines. Could it be that the entertainment factor, the big draw to the newer slots, is wearing thin? Also growing, the number of complaints.... people are starting to tell me that they have had it with the new theme games.... tired of putting in many dollars per spin on nickel machines, tired of bonus games... and one reader wrote me to tell me: That reader isn’t alone... every time I set foot in the casinos, I hear more and more of the same. People are complaining about the lack of reasonable games. Casinos are moving out more and more of the familiar, and replacing them with more and more of the same old, same old.... as in piles and piles of money grabbing multi-line, multi-coin, multi-denomination video slots... which another casino patron told me (again) that "it’s the same old crappy game, just with different pictures...." and after seeing the bonus features a few times, most get up and go in search of something familiar.... something old.... and something less expensive, and more logical to play.

And it helps me keep my off-stage business running smooth in a non-office environment. I am stoked to work with Alienware. I think this machine is THE MACHINE for electronic musicians in need of a laptop instrument."

Extractions: PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL (A-2, PG-13): British Governor Swann (Jonathan Pryce) and his daughter, Elizabeth (Keira Knightly), are traveling to Port Royal in the Caribbean. Their ship comes upon a young boy, Will Turner (later played by Orlando Bloom), who is unconscious and floating on debris. When they see the wreckage of a ship and recognize the work of pirates, Elizabeth steals a pirate's gold medallion from Will's neck before he wakes. Several years later, Elizabeth is courted by the debonair Commodore Norrington (Jack Davenport) and Will has become an expert blacksmith who specializes in sword-making. His love for Elizabeth remains undeclared but his devotion is obvious. On the day Norrington gets a promotion, the renowned pirate Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) swaggers into port, looking for a ship to steal (or as he puts it, "commandeer"). His ship, the

It uses Don Buchla's infrared baton system as input device, and the orchestra will even complain if you conduct too badly. Personal Orchestra has been in use as a successful public exhibit with hundreds of visitors each day in the award-winning HOUSE OF MUSIC VIENNA in Austria since 2000. Jan Borchers is Acting Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University, where he works on post-desktop user interfaces for interactive rooms, interaction with multimedia, and user interface design patterns in Stanford's Interactivity Lab. He has been known to occasionally turn his research into interactive exhibits. Ron Yeh and Eric Lee present.
Home PCs To Gain Multimedia Savvy | Tech News On ZDNet entertainment PCs will be designed to emulate a home stereo or video component, The highend machines will be more stylish, however, and will also be http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9584_22-5203521.html
Extractions: Though springtime is still upon us, chip giant Intel and computer manufacturers are busy thinking up ways to reinvent the home PC for the 2004 holiday season. Having taken note of consumers' growing demand for music, video and other digital content, the companies have begun shifting the PC to the role of multimedia hub for the home. Desktop PCs have changed little over the years, but Intel believes 2004 could be a turning point for desktop design. The chipmaker, whose processors will play a role in the transition, predicts that two new consumer desktop categories"entertainment" PCs and "lifestyle" PCscould gain a foothold as the year progresses. "Our research showed that people want to use PCs within these different scenarios. We think it's a new opportunity for us and the PC industry," said Bill Leszinske, director of digital home marketing and planning at Intel. "This is something we've been driving. I think the (PC makers) are pretty accepting of it, and you'll see lots of them later this year."
Intel Dual Core Gaming And Multitasking Preview : GameSpot Hardware As a gaming machine, the Pentium Processor extreme Edition 840 probably isn t going to turn too many heads. But if you plan on doing more than just one task http://hardware.gamespot.com/Story-ST-x-1827-x-x-x&body_pagenum=2
Extractions: In many of our gaming tests, the Athlon 64 tore past both Intel processors by a wide margin. But in those scenarios all we were doing was running one benchmark and nothing else. Multitasking is a totally different beast, and it's something you encounter on a daily basis. How well a system responds to numerous tasks depends on whether it can take the multiple processor intensive beatings at once. In our multitasking tests, we decided to push these processors to their limits. For the first set of tests we tried out PSP Video 9, a video encoding program that makes videos for the PSP. We first converted one video (executive editor Greg Kasavin's Doom 3 review), then three at the same time, and finally four simultaneous video encodes. These tests left the processors pegged to 100% CPU utilization. From a subjective standpoint, the Athlon 64 testbed became completely unusable during testing. It was a struggle to even turn on four video encodes at the same time. The Intel Pentium Processor Extreme Edition 840, however, performed as though we were doing nothing intensive at all. We could easily open a browser window, and navigate through the computer with great ease.

California Extreme has come and gone, and last Saturday I followed through with my threat of attending. I'd never made it there before, but was drawn by my friends' tales of bountiful classic arcade games, free play on everything, and more 80s tunes than are safe to blast in one place. There was fun to be had (how could there not be?) but after all was said and done, I didn't find California Extreme to be quite to my expectations. After paying the $25 entrance fee (I really should have pre-registered to get the price break), I was set loose inside a cavernous black room, filled to the brim with arcade and pinball machines. I decided to patrol the floor first, to see what was available and what I'd want to hit later.
