Please visit this exercise in the magic power of plywood and drywall screws. He crouches! He stands! He stores potential energy! I built an electric snow blower for my electric tractor. The result is a 600-lb. Cordless Electric Snow Shovel . This converted electric tractor is now disassembled. (It has been replaced by the ElecTrak tractor mentioned next.) General Electric beat me to the idea... but only by about 30 years. I have one of their ElecTrak E-15 tractors, with a snow thrower and a mower deck. For use with the snow thrower, I built a "back porch" on the thing to hold another six 6v bateries for added range and rear axle weight. I was going to convert my late-70s one-cylinder commuter, an HMV Freeway , to electric, but I couldn't bring myself to adulterate such a rare vehicle (one of 700 ever made). Instead, I built the Commutamatic , my own version of a tilting- three wheeler (What's a tilting three-wheeler, you may ask? I have prepared a thorough site about them called

Letters To The Editor to Greek organizations, which are exclusive clubs where inclusion is not electric vehicles Not the Answer. Greg Schaffer 71 (Letters, Winter http://www.uagrad.org/Alumnus/Spring04/letters.htm
Extractions: Hazing Hurts More than Fellow Greeks Your articles never mentioned or even considered the inconvenience, humiliation, and even danger Greek hazing forces on students who are in no way involved. During my studies at the UA, I and many of my friends were unwilling participants in hazing rituals as the recipients of mocking and bullying treatment by groups of pledges, as inhabitants of dormitories that pledges invaded to steal items for their scavenger hunts, and as victims of illegal acts required of the pledges. During the year that I lived in the now sadly defunct International House, a dorm where international and American students lived together, our dorm was surrounded by a group of pledges chanting racist epithets at our Arab students; a group of pledges jogged nude around our dorm for 20 minutes late one night, calling out to the residents; the side mirrors of all the cars in our parking lot were smashed; and our dorm was broken into and all of our fire extinguishers stolen. All of this agonizing over how to handle hazing is time, money, and attention taken away from the majority of UA students, who already understand how to treat each other with respect and who already know how to make friends and serve the community without joining exclusive clubs.
Extractions: Engineering Home ESAC is a focal point for student activities in the engineering school. It is active in organizing events, in enhancing student life, in benefiting engineering students, and acting as a means of communication between students, student groups, and the administration. In the past year, ESAC has planned several events to benefit the Penn engineering community. ESAC is the umbrella organization for all engineering clubs. Monthly meetings are held with student leaders from each engineering organization. The meetings provide a way for engineering clubs to support one another and to create community within SEAS. Most departments are affiliated with a national professional organization. Each of these organizations has a chapter at Penn, which becomes a club for undergraduate students. Typically, these clubs will organize alumni speakers, plant tours, recreational events and social events. They are also often an avenue through which students communicate with each other, and with administration, critiquing their curricula, facilities, etc. A list of the departmental clubs and faculty advisors follows: American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE) - Dr. John Vohs
