The information submitted by core members in response to the "Profile" questions (specifically question A6) was used as the basis of the discussion. The group decided that the following applications and/or mechanisms should be among the first to be addressed by the project Email service/mailhome lookup and routing should be included in the very early stages of this project. Performance issues (particularly putting mailhome lookups in competition with all other directory queries) are a concern and will need to be investigated (check other schools, investigate the possibility of replicating servers and using one just for mail lookups). 411, already an LDAP directory, should be included in the project becoming part of an enterprise-wide directory service.

One example is the " People Finder The Internet is flooded with these types of resources. That is why we encourage you to access our resource list to find an extensive list of Internet research services. If you try more than one service, you'll notice that they are similar. They all search their databases using the information you enter into fields in a form. Each field holds a specific type of information that matches entries in the database. For example, typing Boston in the field labeled Last Name isn't likely to help you find information about an address in Boston. The database will instead be searched for people whose last name is Boston. This type of searching, which is based on the entries or values of specific predefined categories, is called field searching. State by state public records Alabama
