Extractions: The Discovery Center at Delaware County Christian School exists to provide options for students who have special educational needs that cannot be fully met through the regular classroom. Discovery Center programs encourage each student to become independent and successful in the regular classroom and challenge each student to fully use his/her God-given abilities In the Christian School a child must be developed as a whole person in all dimensions - spiritual, mental, emotional, physical and social. Each student is educated as an individual who possesses unique abilities which have been given to him by God, the Creator. God answered the prayers of both parents and teachers through the provision of educational therapy when the Discovery Center opened in September 1980. Since that time a variety of programs have been added to serve the needs of students. In addition to educational therapy for grades K-12, the Discovery Center also offers resource room instruction for grades 2-12 and an enrichment program for grades 2-5. Psycho-educational testing is also available through the school's Psychological Services. There are fees charged for all Discovery Center services.
