To many Christians, the year 2000 is significant because they believe it marks the time of the end and the return of the Lord. For believers in Christ, the second coming of our Lord will be a joyful fulfillment; and the anticipation of His return absolutely should comfort us, give us hope, and dispel our fears. Many Scriptures speak of His triumphant return, the establishment of His Kingdom on this earth, and His peaceful reign that ends all oppression. Yet, in the world scene today, we do not hear much expressed in the way of anticipating joy and fulfillment. Instead, we hear many voices expressing a faith in disaster and calamity. Interestingly, a great number of those voices are Christian. One of the hottest topics in this vein is the Y2K phenomenon. Y2K is an acronym for the year 2000, when several computer experts are predicting a worldwide catastrophe. They are anticipating a disruption of vital services when the year changes to 2000, because the computerized equipment used by large corporations, utility companies, and governments may not know if it is 1900 or 2000 and could stop functioning. Many companies have hired consultants to fix this potentially disastrous problem. After learning the full extent and possible consequences of the Y2K problem, some of these consultants have quit their high-paying jobs to buy ranches, store food, and make preparations to survive what they are certain will be a breakdown of our entire system.

In the fall of 2001, Paul took on the role of Volunteer Coordinator for the BCN. Marc Sobel joined BCN in Fall of 1998. He walked into the offices of BCN with a desire to contribute to Virtual Chautauqua . Virtual Chautauqua connects k-12 rural youth with performing artists via the interet. Marc knew he wanted to make a special contribution to this project and was very patient in explaining to BCN's nontechnical staff what he had in mind. Marc is recognized by BCN as being a 'Virtual Wizard' because of his vision and determination to build an interactive virtual performing artist museum teachers will use to create unique lesson plans from the Virtual Chautauqua material. There are maybe a dozen virtual museums on the web but this will be the first virtual performing arts museum.. The brief began as a request from Art Cebrowski, retired Vice Admiral and former President of the Naval War College, who had just begun his new job as Director, Office of Force Transformation, Office of the Secretary of Defense following the terrorist attacks of 9/11. He hadnt been brought into the job due to 9/11, as his new office had been months in the works. In fact, at his retirement ceremony in July of 2001, he told me to keep my in-box open, meaning hed be tapping again for analysis in the future. Introduction As we move further into the Twenty-First Century, three categories of Believers are rising to the surface. Each has a definitive view of end-time Bible prophecy and many in each category unfortunately criticize or slander the other. The first are those who believe that major events will happen at literally any moment. The second are those who believe prophetic events can happen, and the third are those who believe nothing will occur. It is a definite possibility that end-time events foretold in Scripture may occur in the coming years, but there is a difference between looking for events and speaking presumptuously. There is a distinction between those being aware of our times, and phenomena such as millennial madness or Jerusalem syndrome. There must be a clear Scriptural approach to these issues, so that we not be led astray by the presumptuous teachings or sensationalism of a person and damage our testimony to the secular world.

I believe that YHVH's Spirit has led me to this understanding; however, I am not claiming that I have received any visions or had any divine messages delivered by angelic intermediaries. Conversely, if there is truth in what I am about to say, the glory goes solely to the Eternal Father. Numerous attempts have been made to assemble biblical prophecy into a coherent end-time picture. As many in the past have done, I will endeavor to take the news headlines of our day and fit them into some of the prophecies of Revelation and Daniel. I feel there is solid evidence to support most of my conclusions. However, you are free to accept or reject what follows as you see fit. The book of Revelation contains a chronological outline of end-time events in the form of a scroll sealed with seven seals. In this article, I will delineate the first six seals and correlate them to the explanation that Christ himself gave about their meaning. I will then explain how I think these prophecies will be fulfilled in the very near future. Let's begin in the sixth chapter of Revelation, where the Messiah begins to open the scroll that will ultimately usher in the Kingdom of God here on earth. Seal #1

I really enjoyed my summer in California, and can confidently say that I worked at one of the coolest companies in the known universe. Speaking of Apple, here are some Apple and general computer updates: - Last night Apple released Mac OS X 10.3.5: The update provided enhanced video drivers (perhaps to support for their new motion graphics program Motion , which was released today, along with a Production Suite that allows for great savings on a bundle of tools), along with a few other enhancements and fixes . The update is running nicely on my Dual 1.8 GHz G5. - In addition to the Mac OS X update, iSync 1.5 was released, adding support for a few more phones that Verizon doesn't have. I look forward to December when my contract with them is up...
