This news wiki could be syndicated via RSS on wikipedia. From the user's perspective, everything will be the same, but the infrastructure will be better. Thoughts? My first thought is "yes." But I have also been thinking about the differences between the news and an encyclopedia. I think Wikipedia has proven that the latter is well-suited to Wiki-ness. I'm not sure about news, though. Wiki makes for easy, easy editing and revision, and that's not something one necessarily wants in the news. A historical record of unaltered past news is important, whether that news is correct or not. It's difficult for me to see how that could be made to work in a Wiki context. I don't think it'd be impossible, just difficult.

Imperial County Board of Education recognized Al Huie, Nancy Kellogg, Neil MacGaffey and Sonia Rivera at their December 17 th Board Meeting with a special reception. Administrators and teachers from their school sites and districts were present to celebrate the achievement with the honored teachers. Terry Clark, who has coached the candidates through the requirements, was present as well as another recent recipient of the certification from San Diego county, family and friends of the recipients, ICOE supporters, and Dana Arellano of Congressmen Bob Filnerâs office. Ms. Clark noted that âAs teachers earn the certification the focus is on students and what teachers can do to improve student learning.â
Extractions: As mentioned to you previously, the NRTL staff has worked with the OSHA Training Institute staff to develop a training program regarding the NRTL Program. It was developed as a module that could be added to other training courses for our compliance staff, but could also be used as a stand-alone training product that might be appropriate for staff meetings or less formal training situations. The program has now been distributed to regional and area offices of OSHA, as well as to state plan states and consultation programs. The Training Institute reports that they have already gotten positive feedback and requests for additional copies of the program. I am attaching an electronic version of the slide presentation (in PowerPoint) so you can see what was developed. We are very pleased at the response thus far, and believe this is a useful tool to increase awareness about the NRTL Program:
