Finnish Museums Association Leena Sammallahti, Director of the Satakunta Museum, writes on cultural Heritage Sports lessons in a cultural environment Museum curator Petri Halinen http://www.museoliitto.fi/english/tiedotus/abstract301.html
Extractions: Leena Sammallahti, Director of the Satakunta Museum, writes on Cultural Heritage as a Regional Resource. She notes that, when utilising cultural heritage in the promotion of tourism, it is no longer sufficient that institutions like cultural museums offer documented information for time travel; people want to experience the past with their senses, here and now. Museums have been compelled to venture outside the confines of their walls and stage historical and traditional events. Sammallahti also sees a future in which the Finnish museum people need to engage in deeper cooperation with the dwindling local population in order to keep their respective region alive. The contacts established by museums in the course of their ordinary fieldwork are a great help, but in the future it will be necessary to network with new and different groups of players as well.

(Please read the Preface and refer to an article written in 1986 by Ba Jin.) Since then, the editorial board has collected more than 1 million words' worth of materials. These works have come to us from scholars of the Cultural Revolution, readers' contributions, and articles we found scattered in all sorts of electronic and print publications. They have all been published in more than 60 issues of Zeng Kan , a HXWZ supplement. Visitors may find the collection, arranged by "Exhibition Halls" , in the Chinese version of Virtual Museum of Cultural Revolution . The English version, as displayed below, is to be built similarly. (Please note that, as of now, most of the texts are in Chinese while the table of contents is in English.)
