Extractions: The last time starwars.com talked to Gillian Libbert, way back in 1999 , she worked as Lucasfilm's Character Appearances Manager, preparing costumed characters for commercials and publicity events. After wrapping up that job, she placed a call into Trisha Biggar , Costume Designer for Episode I who was just starting on Episode II's early pre-production. "My background was in production, and I really wanted to get back into it," says Libbert, who asked Biggar to contact her should she need any help. Given the costume requirements of Episode II, Biggar did just that. "Since Trish lived in Scotland, she needed someone in the U.S., particularly at Skywalker Ranch, to help coordinate things on this end. It was meant to be a two-week job, and ended up turning into two years," she says. Over those two years, Libbert was involved throughout all stages of production and beyond, first sourcing fabric and working with the concept artists, and then traveling down to Fox Studios Australia, assisting Biggar during principal photography.

Extractions: Historical Re-enactment If you haven't figured it out already, I work at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Northern California RPFN and 16th Century recreation has been one of my passions for going on 7 years now. I started working it after my best friend, Melissa aka Mairghread inghean Laoghaire, dragged me into Faire Life. At the time it was just for fun, since then I've developed a love of Irish and Scottish history and a desire to reenact the time period as accurately as possible. Period Names for 16th Century Gaels - First step in character creation The O'Neills - An Irish reenactment group with some very historical costuming advice and commercial patterns available St. Arbogast Gaddgedlar , a 14th-16th Century Scottish Lowland re-enactment group based in Scotland. Extractions: 5-16-2003 Updated Faire Speak page - expanded and updated. ood day, gentles... Sit back, relax, grab a good stout ale and enjoy the sites that will follow. You have entered what I like to call the ren faire experience. You can be anything you like here - perhaps a young knave who can't keep his hands off the women, or a lusty young serving wench. Maybe even a person of noble birth, paying homage to the queen, then down the street you could be a scots warrior in kilt and full armor. Welcome to the newly re-designed domain of me. Me Perhaps I should introduce myself before I go on assuming that everyone knows who I am... My name is Suzanne, and I am one of the few, the proud, the ren-faire folk. However, at faire I'm better known by several other names. In this lovely picture you see the beautiful women of St Magdalene's. In the lower right hand corner sitting down you will see me, as Ariana Addingwood. So many names are used to describe the profession of these lovely ladies; one might call them lusty women, or perhaps women of ill-repute, or my favorite
