News Releases TORONTO - July 19, 2005 - It's not just Canadian singers who can become idols but marketers as well, with the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) set to crown a "Technology Idol" this fall. A select group of organizations will belt out their pitch for the best technology application for direct marketers. Like Canadian and American idol participants, these performers will be critiqued by a panel of professionals. The final three competitors will be selected from a group that have applied for the right to be included in the competition. To qualify, the technology must support direct marketers and candidates must be able to demonstrate the technology and provide a case study. Winners will be decided by an audience vote at the CMA Direct Marketing Conference which is being held on October 27, 2005 in Toronto. The deadline for entries is August 31, 2005.
