In 1999, Coach Coleman earned a Master of Physical Education in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics. Coach Coleman served three years as a student worker and graduate assistant with the athletic performance team prior to becoming the first female in the University of Nebraska's school history to be named a full-time strength and conditioning coach. She spent six years as a full-time member of the athletic department and eight years on the athletic performance team. Starting as a student volunteer, Coach Coleman worked her way up to the position of West Stadium strength coach. She has overseen student and graduate assistants who work in the West Stadium. Additionally, she is CPR/First Aid Certified through the American Red Cross.
