The program was held at the flagpole in front of the Chancery and included a U.S. Marine Corps color guard, remarks by the Chargé, a moment of silence, and the singing of "God Bless America." The Embassy also affixed flags, one for each victim of the 9/11 attacks according to nationality, to the perimeter fence around the Embassy. These flags were on display over the weekend of September 11. President Bush on Thursday said, "To carry out the first stages of the relief effort and begin rebuilding at once, I have asked for, and the Congress has provided, more than $60 billion. This is an unprecedented response to an unprecedented crisis, which demonstrates the compassion and resolve of our nation."

There are very few book-length biographies on the Web (which is hardly surprising, since few people would want to read material of that length on a computer screen). If you want to know the date of Bill Clinton's birth, you could go to an online almanac such as InfoPlease.com , use the pull-down menu to limit your search to the "Biographies" section, and enter the words "Bill Clinton" (without the quotation marks). This will produce the following brief information: Bill Clinton 42nd U.S. president As you can see, the only item displayed above contains the information we were looking for, as well as 'hyperlinks' which can be clicked on for more detailed information. If you click on the first hyperlink Encyclopedic information about the President will be retrieved; if you click on the second, you will see a pronunciation quide; if you click on the third, a more detailed 2-3 page biographical updated sketch will appear.
