We provide help in places that are most convenient for youth- in schools, in the community and at our offices. Youth meet with their case manager in groups or individually to cope with daily pressures and to learn that they are not alone.

The Story of "Cindi" "Cindi", a pregnant 19-year-old single mother of two adorable children, had witnessed a lot in her short time on this earth. So had her kids, a two year old girl who was a ball of energy, and her son, almost a year old, yet developmentally ahead of his time. "Cindi" was eight months pregnant with her third child when she came to us for help. The biological fathers of the children were not in "Cindi's" or her children's lives. One was an older man who is currently incarcerated for 15 years because of his relationship with, at-the-time, underage "Cindi". Oscar's father decided to return to live with his parents because, at their home, he didn't have to work or attend high school. "Cindi" was unsure of exactly who was the father of her next baby.

Extractions: March 25, 2005 Thank You From The Firefighters To the community in and around Prescott: The staff of the 2005 Arizona Wildfire Academy wishes to give our heartfelt thanks to the community of Prescott. It is because of the support of local agencies, organizations, businesses and community members that the Academy has been so successful. This year, the Academy hosted 781 participants. We had representatives from 25 states, but the vast majority of students, instructors and staff members came from Arizona. A large number of them came from the local Prescott area. While the participants of the 2005 Academy were in the Prescott area, we estimate that approximately $500,000 was added to the local economy. Firefighters stayed in local hotels, ate at local restaurants, and shopped in local stores. But, we hope that they had more than just an economic impact. We hope they represented their organizations and the Arizona Wildfire Academy well. It is important to us that the Prescott community continues to welcome us with open arms as it has the last three years.

CORE's Hurricane Katrina Clearinghouse CORE is the Washington, D.C. based association of U.S. oceanographic research institutions, universities, laboratories, aquaria and industry. Our 83 members represent the nucleus of U.S. research and education about the ocean. The National Oceanographic Partnership Program is a cooperative effort among 15 federal agencies, academia and private industry to coordinate national oceanographic research and education programs. Since it was established in 1997, NOPP has invested $150 million to support over 90 ocean science research and education projects involving roughly 200 public and private institutions. Today there is no system to study the long-term physical, chemical and biological changes that take place within the ocean. The Ocean Research Interactive Observatory Networks (ORION) program is an NSF-sponsored effort to develop a network of seafloor observatories that can conduct the first real-time studies of these critical processes.
