A 54-year-old man had a syndrome resembling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis after a brief but intense exposure to elemental mercury. The syndrome resolved as his urinary mercury levels fell. Mercury toxicity must be considered not only in individuals with recent anterior horn-cell dysfunction but also with otherwise unexplained peripheral neuropathy, tremor, ataxia, and a gamut of psychiatric symptoms including confusion and depression Protective effects of a vitamin B12 analog, methylcobalamin, against glutamate cytotoxicity in cultured cortical neurons.

Extractions: Click Here My mother came to me with her TIA's. I did what I was taught and routinely recommended to my patients (still the "standard of treatment"). I diagnosed the narrowing in her carotid artery which was threatening a stroke and referred her for an arteriogram in preparation for surgery. During the arteriogram she had a strokea not uncommon complication of arteriograms. Of course, then she could no longer have the surgery and was simply sent home to recover. About a year later, still having her TIA's but recovered from her stroke, she decided she had had enough of MY advice. On her own, she sought out Dr. Shearer, in Columbus, Ohio, (who had been offering Chelation for about 20 years at that time) for Chelation Therapy. The results were so dramatic that I no longer could be honest with my patients when I told them that surgery was the only answer to their vascular insufficiency problem (coronary, brain, legs, etc.). Not only did her TIA's clear up but she seemed to grow 10 years younger. Her health improved in EVERY way! Dr. Walt Stoll

Extractions: Background The nervous system has traditionally been divided into the central nervous system which includes the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system which consists of all other nerves besides the twelve cranial nerves. This distinction is somewhat artificial since one is connected with the other. The peripheral nervous system interfaces with skeletal muscle at the neuromuscular junction . Brain biopsies have become increasingly common with the AIDS epidemic with many rare infections and tumors of the brain becoming more common. The study of the entire brain, however, is still reserved for autopsies. A thorough study of the brain requires several weeks as the brain requires extensive fixation in formalin. Pathologists specializing in disorders of the neuromuscular system are called neuropathologists . They must have an accurate knowledge base of clinical neurology and neurosurgery as well as mastery of pathology. Tumors of the brain and spinal cord are covered in a separate section.

It stated that all living things were composed of cells. The term cell (in this context) was coined by the early microscopist Robert Hooke who looked at cork and saw openings that looked like monastery cells or rectangular rooms. The Functions of Cells To understand how cells relate to their environment, we will examine the mathematical concept of the relationship between cell surface area and volume. Cell Size : most cells are from 10 micrometers to 100 micrometers (0.1mm) in diameter. The smaller cell dimensions are limited by the size of first the macromolecules like the nucleic acids and proteins of bacteria, and of the internal organelles (tiny organs) of larger cells. The larger cell dimensions are determined by the

Extractions: Lipitor: Side Effects And Natural Remedy Back to main page Serious side effects have been reported for Lipitor and other cholesterol-lowering drugs - the so-called statins - prescribed to millions for preventive purposes. The prescription of these drugs is based on the discredited hypothesis that high cholesterol levels cause heart attacks. The cholesterol myth has been one of the most long lived falsehoods around - probably because it has been excellent business, both for large pharma producers as well as for the food multinationals, who introduced margarine telling us how much healthier it is than butter. There is an easy, widely available nutritional solution to heart attacks: Vitamin C. Needless to say, taking more vitamin C has been opposed by big pharma and its mainstream medicine followers for decades. When a "preventive" medicine causes severe muscular degeneration as a "common" side effect, something must be awfully wrong. Jonathan Campbell examines the side effects and postulates a mechanism - proposing an astonishingly simple remedy.

Eating is such a normal part of everyday life that you take it for granted until you are unable to, whether this is due to illness, dental work or advancing years. Even the smallest meals can be exhausting, painful and difficult to eat. It can be very hard having to live on the same food and just because you can't chew or swallow doesn't mean you don't want to enjoy your food. Most recipes for easy to swallow foods are designed for young children, which for an adult with mature taste buds can be very frustrating. This is why I have set up this web site to gather together tasty, easy to swallow recipes all in one place. Continue reading: "EasyToSwallow.co.uk"
