The Support Services Awards for Outstanding Performance are presented to exemplary support staff each year at the opening day session. Dr. Joyce West Linda McKeon joined the Kirkwood School District as head nurse at Kirkwood High School (KHS) in 1999. Her KHS colleagues describe her as a wonderful and dependable member of the district nursing staff. She serves not only as the nurse for high school students, but she is also the lead nurse for the district. Linda is very knowledgeable and is called upon daily to provide information, solve problems and suggest the best ways to handle complicated situations. She keeps up with the latest research and findings on health issues and willingly shares that knowledge with the staff. Linda is always willing to help in any way she possibly can and is genuinely happy to do so.
