Still, it's cool to have the connection to him. Permalink Comment from: Union Household [Visitor] A marker at the entrance to Highland Cemetery gives credit to Omsted. Forrest Hills Cemetery in Ann Arbor is also of his design. Permalink Comment from: Ypsidixit [Visitor] http://ypsi-dixit.diaryland.com/ Here is local historian James Mann's word on this interesting topic: "Fred Law Olmstead never came to Ypsilanti, as he had been dead a few years before the study. It was one of his sons who came to Ypsilanti and did the work. The plan was not workable, as in one part he suggests moving the houses on Normal Street, I think, back 15 feet, but does not say how this could be done.

All 199 Sports All Sun Teams Mark Trapp, North olmsted One of the cluthc scores by the Eagles junior midfielder was the lone score in regulation during the Division I state final. http://www.sunnews.com/sports/allsun/1999teams/fall99.htm
Extractions: VOLLEYBALL Nov. 25, 1999 Most Valuable Player Nancy Legan Magnificat : Every team needs a leader, particularly the Blue Streaks. Continually falling short of the Division I state tournament meant a go-to gal was needed on the floor. Magnificat got the most from senior Nancy Legan en route to the Division I final. Sun photo by Tony Derrick. Mags found one in this senior middle hitter, whose poise and precision was just what was needed to put the Blue Streaks back on track. Legan's steady play and clutch hits were vital to Magnificat's success, to the tune of a 26-3 record, and to her offer of a scholarship from Boston College. Typical of Legan's season was her performance in the semifinals, where her seven kills and four blocks helped eliminate Asustintown Fitch in the state semifinals. It took defending Division I champ and perennial power Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame to stop Legan and Mags in the state final. All-Sun Alicia Boscarello Olmsted Falls : This senior outside hitter graduates after taking the Bulldogs to back-to-back Southwestern Conference championships and consecutive regional appearances. Colleen Day Holy Name : The Green Wave's senior outside hitter, most valuable player in the North Coast League, served at 86 percent while recording 235 kills.
