Ray Brown 's website Ray's Place has town histories as published in Landmarks of Rensselaer County here Lansingburgh was formed from Troy and Petersburgh on March 20, 1807. A tract was annexed from Schaghticoke in 1819. A part of Troy was taken off in 1836, and a part of Brunswick was taken off in 1839. It is a narrow strip of land extending along the Hudson River. In the southern part, the river intervale [flat] is one-fourth of a mile in width, but in the north, the bluffs rise directly from the water. In the northeast is a high, rocky hill, 400 to 600 feet above the river. The high bluff east of the village is called Diamond Rock. The streams are Deepi Kil and Koola Kil. The soil is gravelly and clayey loam. The people are largely engaged in the manufacture of brushes, oilcloths, flax cordage, and malt liquors. A lock at Troy admits the passage of sloops up to this place . Lansingburgh (p.v.) contains extensive brush, oilcloth, and other manufactories, the Lansingburgh Academy

Extractions: by Joseph Chambers When a person understands the truth about Biblical Holiness, it becomes the most desirable possibility in all of human experiences. There is nothing so beautiful, so satisfying and so natural in all of human life. The very reason for your creation, the purpose for which God made you and the most complete life, is found in Biblical holiness. It is not just a standard someone is trying to live. It certainly is not legalism or narrow-mindedness. Holiness is the work of the Holy Ghost by the Word and by the Blood. It actually lifts man into the image of God. In holiness, we become God-like and God-filled. No, No, Im not talking about righteousness. Righteousness is what happens in our body, soul, and spirit when we begin to experience holiness. Righteousness is the work of Holiness. Righteousness is the joy of obedience to Gods ways that results from the inner work of holiness. Holiness cannot start or continue or be completed by righteousness in the many expressions of our living. Holiness is never subject to righteousness.

I trust that each of you will find a way to remember the Lord on this day and the way He led the early Pilgrims on the Mayflower to America, as well as the way He leads today's pilgrims (that's us) in this journey of life. Rejoice in Him - His provision - His protection - His peace - we all have so much to be grateful for. In the classic autobiography, The Hiding Place, Corrie ten Boom tells of the time she and her sister were forced to take off all their clothes during Nazi inspections at a death camp. Miss ten Boom stood in line feeling forsaken and defiled. Suddenly she remembered that Jesus hung naked on the cross. Struck with wonder and worship during that seemingly forsaken moment, ten Boom leaned forward and whispered to her sister, "Betsie, they took his clothes, too." Betsie gasped and said, "Oh, Corrie, and I never thanked him!"

Extractions: Gatehouse Dara's Chambers Town Crier The Library ... Castle Map Hailed as a breakout talent! and "a publishing phenomenon" by Publishers Weekly, Dara Joy has written eight consecutive New York Times and USAToday bestselling novels. Never content to rest on her past success, this novelist takes risks. In 1995, Dara Joy reinvented the science fiction romance crossover with her breakout first book, Knight of a Trillion Stars, which introduced multiple heroes and a highly evocative storyline. The book received countless awards, including the first Prism Award for Science Fiction Romance. Knight of a Trillion Stars set a standard in the field and paved the way for the current trend. Her Matrix of Destiny series is acknowledged as a classic in SF/Rom literature (In recent years, the trilogy took the top three slots in the IOO Favorite Books of All Time on the web). For several years Dara was the only author publishing in this subgenre, keeping the subgenre alive. With worldwide fan support, Ms Joy illustrated to publishers that demand for these types of books is considerable. By example, her stellar sales, consistent top placement on every bestseller list, and her large, devoted readership convinced many publishing houses to explore this kind of crossover fiction. With her second novel, HIGH ENERGY, Dara turned the tables again by writing a contemporary romantic comedy that proved equally successful. And so it went with each succeeding work, including the mind-bending, genre-defying RITUAL OF PROOF, a critically-acclaimed mainstream novel that examines social status and gender roles.

I am a Republican, a conservative Christian and the head of an international pro-family organization. As I type those titles and labels I do so thinking of the millions of people who would say that these things are strikes against me. I think someone like Hillary Clinton might even be one of the people that would think that way. I don't know. Hillary won't be my pick for President should she be one of the candidates I have to choose from come next November. There isn't much I agree with her on where public policy is concerned. Like so many Americans, the very thought of her causes strong emotions and opinions to well up within me. I have stated many times to friends that I don't like her. The truth is that I don't know her. So, a more honest assessment would be, I don't like what I know about her politically.
