Dedicated to the technical and musical training of talented young string players, he is co-founder and the Artistic Director of the Queenstown Violin Summer School in New Zealand. As soloist and chamber musician his performances have gained international acclaim with recent tours throughout the United States, Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand. He is a National Recording Artist for Radio New Zealand Concert FM. His 2005 schedule includes guest residencies at Arizona State University and Illinois State University. For copies, call Scott Barkhurst at the UO School of Music, (541) 346-5678, or send e-mail to scottb@oregon.uoregon.edu The program includes three selections, one each from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries: "Piano Quartet in G Minor" by Mozart; "Piano Quartet in C Minor" by Gabriel Fauré; and "Sonata for Violin and Piano" by Douglas Lilburn. Lucktenberg , who has been on the UO music faculty since 1993, earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music. In 1979 she made her debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra, and within a year after graduation from Curtis she joined the Honolulu Symphony as concertmaster. During her 11 years in Hawaii she also was a member of the Honolulu Symphony String Quartet and served on the faculty at the University of Hawaii. At Oregon, she performs regularly with two faculty ensembles, the Oregon String Quartet and Trio Pacifica. Pologe joined the UO music faculty after 13 years as principal cellist with the Honolulu Symphony. He is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and the Juilliard School. Pologe has played with the Rochester and Buffalo philharmonics and the Brooklyn Philharmonia, and he served as principal cellist with the New York String Ensemble, Rome Festival Orchestra, Aspen Chamber Orchestra and Philharmonic Symphony of Westchester.
