Yadin David has served as the Director of the Biomedical Engineering Department at the Texas Children's Hospital, St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital and Texas Heart Institute since 1982. Dr. David received his Master and Doctorate degrees from West Virginia University in 1975, and 1983 respectively. He holds academic appointments of Adjunct Associate Professor in Anesthesia at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and of Assistant Professor at the Department of Pediatrics Baylor College of Medicine. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a Certified Clinical Engineer, and a Certified International Healthcare Safety Professional. Dr. David has published over 100 abstracts, articles, and chapters in scientific literature. Together with Thomas Judd he published the book on "Principles and Practices of Medical Technology Management", and the Clinical Engineering Section in the "Biomedical Engineering Handbook" published by CRC Press (1995) and the Electrical Safety and Risk Control Chapter in the ACritical Care Monitoring; From Pre-Hospital to the ICU@, published by Mosby-Year Book, Inc (1995). He lectures extensively both nationally and internationally on Biomedical Engineering, Technology Management topics, and Telemedicine.
