We have had more than 4 1/2 feet of snow since mid-Nov at the Nordic centers. Peak 6 is open with classic set track and skate lanes. We groom the Peak 6 -New Nordic World portion of our trail system over the weekends and after big snowstorms. All other areas are groomed daily. Breckenridge Nordic is 96% open with Beaver Meadows terrain groomed with fantastic views of the Ten Mile Range. 9 - 4 DAILY

Extractions: Thursday, January 24, 2008 Home Online Conditions Report Snow Phone: 564-3809 The Otway Nordic Centre, home of the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club, is located minutes west of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. Otway has 30km of machine groomed trails (PB100(2007), PB170(older)) for classic and skating[D techniques. There are 5km of trails which are lit until 9:30pm every evening for night skiing. There is a biathlon range at the Nordic Center. A 3 minute introduction video on Cross Country Skiing at the Otway Nordic Center was taken at the 2007 Ski Fest and can be viewed at Ski Fest 2007 Video The club also has trails at Tabor Mountain (approx. 30 min east of Prince George on Hwy 16). The Tabor facility offers longer touring trails which are usually not trackset. The Otway Centre under went big changes during 2004/05 as the Rotary Nordic Lodge was expanded by an additional 3328 sq.ft. building that includes running water, washrooms, a lounge area, a rental shop and a concession area. The expansion brings the total size of the lodge to 4768 sq ft. The construction began in early October 2004 and was ready in February in time for the 2005 Ski Nationals! The original day lodge is a 2 storey, 720 sq. ft. building offering 1440 sq.ft. of space. It has a gas fireplace on the main floor. The basement level is heated with a gas furnace and there are ski waxing benches. The Biathlon Range has a small cabin which is heated by a woodstove.
