Extractions: The aim of our charity is to use cricket to do good. We believe that cricket can be used to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities. For the last 25 years we have used our unique programmes to help young people, in particular, make positive choices about their lives and to help them feel good about themselves. Cricket brings people from different ethnic backgrounds together, makes team mates of individuals who would not normally have met and gives them pride in their community. It diverts young people from crime and anti social behaviour and helps them stay healthy.
Blind Cricket In Action This Easter Monday Wednesday, April 12, 2006 The Saint Lucia Blind Welfare Association will be staging the first ever public demonstration of blind cricket at Monday s http://www.stlucia.gov.lc/pr2006/april/blind_cricket_in_action_this_easter_monda
Extractions: The best explanation I can give is that it is that the game is similar to 'wole laba' which is under arm bowling not over arm and in blind cricket however the ball has to bounce at least twice before it gets to the batter. it can roll on the ground or bounce twice before it can get to the batter. While the ball is different, the bat used during blind cricket is a regular cricket bat, the ball is different, same size but the ball has some pebbles inside so it makes a bit of noise because with blind cricket a lot depends on sound and the players have to listen to the ball and try to follow the sound.
